Do your Duty!

John Bradshaw keeps the duty team from doing their duty by insisting that they play 'huggy bears' with him.

The odd couple, Tomos and Kieron, go along with the veteran instructor.

'He loves it, when we play huggy bears with him, he's like a big old pussy cat', quipped Kieron.

'I always like to care for the older, more infirmed instructors - they're lovely really!, added a bemused Tom.

Designed by Rowan Sorrell

Rhys and Andy went to visit old friends at Ygol Bro Myrddin, Carmarthen to try out their 350 foot Mountain Bike Trail designed by world class downhiller Rowan Sorrell.

Perhaps Rowan will have to be asked to design one for the Centre!!

This could get messy!

Oh oh! The electric goes off in the kitchen - Rhys thinks he has sorted it when he discovers a trip switch has gone but then the girls get worried when they discover the dishwashers won't turn on!

Rhys reassures the girls not to panic and that Gethin will sort it out on his return from the sea! Judging by this picture however I think they have every right to panic! Could be a long night....

Swine Flu

Andy hasn't been feeling too good the last few days.
Think he took the doctors question of 'have you been to Mexico recently?' a bit far when he turned up to work the following day in full Mexican dress!
Or is he just preparing for the grand opening of the new building at the centre (a fiesta party) on July 24th?!?! Who knows......

Sandfields Comprehensive down The Gower

During the week beginning Monday 23rd February the boys from Morfa Bay met Sandfields Comprehensive School Port Talbot at various climbing venues in the Neath Valley and the Gower.
As part of a PE GCSE programme of study students took part in an intensive two day session which covered the fundamentals and basic skills of both climbing and abseiling. The response from those involved was outstanding ensuring that the four days in total resulted in an overwhelming success.

This is the second consecutive year that Sandfields have run such a programme and so it is hoped that they continue to use Morfa Bay as a facilitator for similar pursuits in the future.

A big thank you to Dave, Tom, Rhys (Pagey) & Jonathan for their tuition and contribution throughout the week.
